Freo Heave Ho

August 30, 2006

The Mighty Freo Dockers have destroyed their cross town rivals The West Coast Eagles, completing the first ever double.  The victory puts them in third position on the AFL ladder and a chance of a double opportunity in the finals (if we can get past Port Adelaide this weekend).

Living in London it can be difficult to keep up with my beloved Fremantle, and I finally caught up with Farmer et al’s exploits last night at the Slug@Fulham, a horrible Antipodean pub who’s only saving grace is replays of Australian sporting events.  Thanks to aussietorrents.com, I can now access all the AFL I want (shh! don’t tell Foxtel, Channel 9 or 10!)

The Chardonnays deserve all the ribbing us Docker supporters can muster, show no mercy to the sanctimonious bastards!

 Freo for the Flag!

Hello world!

August 15, 2006

Welcome to the World According to Fremantle, my rant about anything and everything.

Since this is my first post, I thought I’d tell a little about myself.  I’m a 32 year old Australian living in London (no big surprise there) who makes his crust as an electrical engineer in the oil and gas industry.  I’m a libertarian at heart, I have no religion except sport.

All pretty boring so far, so bugger this show and tell post for a moment and let me tell you what’s really bugging me at the moment.  What’s really got my goat is the incipient way in which the dignity of being a human is being restrained by an ever more risk averse society.
